Purity rRing are coming to Fortune Sound on January 15th, 2027 for a DJ set of dreamy, otherworldly electronic pop.
Edmonton duo Megan James and Corin Roddick have spent over a decade building a world all their own, from the Pitchfork Best New Music-honored, Polaris-shortlisted debut Shrines to the RIAA Gold-certified “Fineshrine.” Now they’re back with their self-titled, self-released fourth album, a concept record that doubles as the soundtrack to an imagined RPG. Inspired by Nier: Automata and Final Fantasy X, expect vintage digital synths, classical guitar, pan flutes, breakbeats and haunted vocoders, with James’s vocals tumbling through a joyous, dizzying stream of consciousness.
